Disney Bound

Everyone thinks that taking a 1 1/2 year old to Disney is pointless because "they won't remember it when they're older." I disagree; even though they won't remember the trip, their faces lighting up when they see their favorite character and even reminiscing when they're older by looking at photos from their first "Disney days" is more than enough to capture the magical moment you take your child to Disney for the first time.

I took Myles to Disney for the first time on March 25, 2022. Even though I treated myself to a Florida Resident ticket for my birthday the following weekend, I wanted to take Myles so he could enjoy and take in all the parks had to offer. We had the best time at Hollywood studios, where he met so many different characters.

Our first walkthrough was Toy Story land, where he saw Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang. He loved watching the Slinky Dog roller coaster zoom above him, and loved talking to Rex in his native language (dinosaur, of course). After we said our good-byes to the gang, we decided to hit up the Disney Junior Dance Party. He loved that, of course, and his favorite part of the dance party was when bubbles fell from the sky above.

Guess who was waiting for us outside when the dance party was over? Pluto!

Our most favorite part of the trip, however, was Star Wars land. Myles LOVED watching The Mandalorian with us, and loves the Star Wars animated series. The shirt I made him to wear to Disney said "When you wish upon a Death Star" and he even got to meet a Storm Trooper who complimented his shirt!

He loved walking through Star Wars land and taking in all the sites. He got the see the ship that Rey flew, R2-D2, even Chewbacca made an appearance with Rey! He was ooh-ing and aw-ing the whole time. He even got his very own porg, to take adventures of their own some day!

Myles was yelling at the Storm Trooper as soon as he saw him, trying to get his attention. When he finally noticed Myles, he looked at his shirt, and as soon as he read what it said, he saluted him and sent him away on his "mission."

Overall, Myles had a fantastic time; and even though he probably won't remember anything from the time he was at the parks, he will always have pictures that show his very first trip to Disney. It definitely won't be his last, as there were very few rides that he was able to go on that I'm sure he would have a blast. So when he's a little older and taller, we would love to take him back to he can enjoy his time there even more.
